Keep your umbrella at the ready and behold the impressive Stokkur geyser erupting every 10 minutes. Your tour of the land of ice and fire is not complete without witnessing incredible waterfalls and seeing the Mid-Atlantic ridge at Þingvellir National Park.
Head to Fontana’s natural steam baths and witness the original sauna which was built in the 1920s. Before enjoying a dip in the Fontana hot tubs, visit a nearby natural hot spring which is used as a local natural bakery for the village. You will get to know the methods how to bake a loaf of bread in a hot spring and watch while they dig up a typical Icelandic rye bread which has been slowly baked in the hot spring. Enjoy a taste of the rye bread before enjoying a refreshing dip.
Today, a modern complex welcomes you to relax with various hot tubs and steam baths naturally heated by Icelandic hot springs. Bask in the unique experience with healing powers of the geothermal springs. Soak in a natural pool, listen to the bubbling hot spring in the steam rooms, or for the venturesome, take a dip in the refreshing lake.
