At Buckingham Palace, you’ll witness the remarkable Changing of the Guard. This age-old ceremony is sure to delight and enthral you in its pomp and majesty!
At Buckingham Palace, you’ll make the most of ‘skip the line' entry. The Palace is open for only 8 weeks a year, so this is an opportunity not to be missed! Marvel at the splendor of the rooms, used on official occasions by The Queen to entertain her guests. Be dazzled by the beautiful ballroom and throne room, and complete your royal tour with a walk through the stunning south garden.
The Royal London & Buckingham Palace Inside Tour is the perfect excursion for anyone interested in Britain’s royal family and the famous monuments of London.
The 3-hour adventure begins when you meet the local tour operator’s representative at Visitor Centre Victoria, 4 Fountain Square, 123-151 Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 9SH. You will board an air-conditioned bus for a whistle stop tour of London's famous monuments and marvel at the history of London's modern masterpieces from the comfort of your seat. A guide will provide an entertaining and informative commentary as you drive along.
Your first stop will be Westminster Abbey, which of course has held much significance in terms of royal history. Have your cameras ready for this spectacular site!
Next, you’ll stand in awe at the magnificent St Paul's Cathedral, towering over the City of London. Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece has stood the test of time. You’ll enter the Quire and marvel at the beautiful mosaics inside.
At Buckingham Palace, you’ll sure to be entertained by a visit to the Royal Horseguards Museum, where you can even try on the official uniform of the troops. Then you’ll enjoy the unforgettable spectacle of the Changing of the Guard. A mass of red tunics and bearskins, with stately Buckingham Palace as accompaniment, is not to be missed! When, on occasion, this ceremony is not available, we will visit the Horse Guards Parade instead.
And finally, inside Buckingham Palace itself. Our special timed entry ensures a breath-taking visit to the official residence of Britain’s sovereigns since 1837. You will arrive at the Visitor Entrance on Buckingham Palace Road, where you will be welcomed by members of the Warden team, deposit your bags and collect a complimentary audio tour.
After visiting the 19 State Rooms you will walk out into the Palace garden. Before leaving you can enjoy a walk along the south side of the Palace garden, past the famous lake.
Your tour concludes at Buckingham Palace at approximately 1200h (12 noon), although you can stay on longer at the Palace if you like.
