Everyone loves dolphins and a dolphin-spotting excursion is sure to be the highlight of your Gran Canaria holiday.

The coastline of Gran Canaria abounds with dolphins. The dolphin's intelligence, playfulness and friendliness, its built-in smile and merry eyes have been a source of fascination and enchantment to human beings from the earliest times.

Seeing dolphins close up is a magical and unforgettable experience for all ages. Our local partners have years of experience in searching for dolphins and there is an 80% chance you will see these magical creatures.

Itinerary

You will be picked up from a conveniently located point on Gran Canaria and taken by coach to Puerto Rico harbour.

Accompanied by your bilingual guide, you will embark on a two hour cruise around the island to see the enchanting bottlenose dolphins. These creatures are friendly and surround the boat, jumping in the air. If you are lucky you might even get to see whales!

On a clear day, you may also be able to the dolphins feed on shoals of mackerel or sardines. There are also other species that you may spot in the water like the striped dolphin, the rough-toothed dolphin, minke whale and the sperm whale.

While cruising along you will be offered a free drink. At the end of your dolphin sightseeing tour your boat will dock back at Puerto Base harbour.

At the end of the tour you will be dropped back at the point where you were picked up.
