Overview

Don’t have a royal invitation to the King’s official residence in Scotland? These Palace of Holyroodhouse tickets will do the trick!

Dating as far back as 1128, The Palace of Holyroodhouse used to be an Augustinian abbey. These days it's the official Scottish residence of His Majesty The King, who welcomes around 8,000 specially invited guests from the end of June to early July, during 'Royal Week'.

Discover the majestic palace and see the State Apartments with a complimentary multimedia guide, learn about the Palace's former residents such as Bonnie Prince Charlie, and explore Mary Queen of Scots' storied chambers.

Stroll amongst the atmospheric ruins of the 12th-century Abbey Church and gardens, and round off your visit at the Café at the Palace, where you can enjoy light refreshments and afternoon tea.
