Visit the centuries old Wieliczka Salt Mines that were part of the dowry of the Hungarian princess, Kinga, when she wed Boleslaw the Shy over 700 years ago, making the Wieliczka Salt Mine one of the oldest in all of Europe.
The mine was opened in the 13th century and reaches almost 327 meters below the ground and has over 287 kilometres.
Besides admiring magnificent timber construction, lakes, chambers and majestic corridors, your visit will also have a positive effect on your health. Over the centuries, devout and superstitious miners have carved fabulous figures, monuments and altarpieces out of its salt walls. These amazing works of art, in addition to the mine's historical importance, have earned the Wieliczka Salt Mine a place on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list.
Explore galleries and chambers on three levels, from 64 to 135 meters below the ground, including the unique and richly ornamented Chapel of the Blessed Kinga.

We were picked up by the wrong travel guide. We followed the tour with them but were asked to wait for our proper tour guide to take us back to our hotel. They didn't show up...
We entered the mine and our guide was very good at informing us on what the tour would entail... Every level was explained thoroughly and our safety was paramount at all times...
Arranging pick up was easy, and the journey very pleasant. I had no idea the Salt Mines were that big. After spending two hours there, you have only seen approx. 1% of the mines...
Guide excellent and provided interesting facts. They even arranged a lift down the first 300 steps as I was using a walking stick and were very concerned that I was able to keep...
This is must do. was an amazing experience and a bit different than that of salt mines in Salzburg...
Prompt pick up time. Comfortable vehicle. Pleasant staff.
