Overview

Keep your tummies empty when you come for this Reykjavik food tour. There will be so much to eat and drink, that by the end of the tour, you will leave with a happy heart. With a guide in tow, learn about the history and culture of Iceland while you dig into Icelandic delicacies.

Your food stops include a new Gastropub, the oldest restaurant in Reykjavik, a legendary hot dog stand, locals’ favourite food market, an authentic Seabaron and a Geysir Bistro. During the course of the tour, you will try at least ten traditional foods from Iceland. Smoked puffin, Lamb soup, The famous Hot dog, Fermented shark, Minke whale steak and a delicious Skyr dessert all await you on our unique food tour.

Your guide will share interesting insights about what the Vikings ate and how Icelandic people have survived harsh winters through a special way of cooking and preserving method. It will also be fun to see contemporary chefs cooking up new delicacies with Icelandic ingredients.
