Experience Iceland’s many highlights on this action-packed 3-day tour from Reykjavik, covering major South coast and Golden Circle attractions! Come face-to-face with majestic wonders of nature, like the spectacular Seljalandsfoss waterfall, the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, the crystal cave in Vatnajökull and the magnificent Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon! Experience the best of Iceland on this epic sightseeing tour and bask in the world’s most spectacular landscapes.
Spend 3 days exploring spectacular waterfalls, hiking up glaciers, and visiting an ice cave at Vatnajokull, Europe’s biggest glacier. Spend your nights away from the hustle and bustle of city life and light pollution, giving you the best chance of seeing the glittering Northern Lights during winter time.
Explore Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the historic location of the Icelandic Parliament, the Alþingi. Established in 930 c.e.
Visit the geothermal wonder Geysir Geothermal Area. See Strokkur burst forth scalding water skywards every few minutes, jumping up to 25 meters high. Finally, stop at Gullfoss (the Golden Falls), the most-visited waterfall in Iceland.
After the Golden Circle, we drive southward. On a clear day, enjoy a clear view of Mount Hekla on the way to Seljalandsfoss, one of the most unusual waterfalls in the world.
Your hotel for the night will be close to the small town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur, a great location to spot the Northern Lights during September and April months if conditions are right.
There will be a quick detour to Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon if the conditions are favorable.
Visit the iconic Eldhraun lava field before heading to Reynisfjara black beach, famous for its basalt columns just off the shore, called the Reynisdrangar.
Next, see Skógafoss, an impressive waterfall that drops 60 m into a tranquil pool below. The famous volcano, Eyjafjallajökull, lurks high above the waterfall, so you might catch a glimpse of this famous site.
You will be returning to Reykjavik in the evening.
